Makes her home in the Missouri Ozarks. The past 22 years she has entertained across North America performing her brand of Western Roots / Country / Bluegrass / Gospel / & Folk music. Soon to be released is her first complete Gospel collection, entitled ' Closer to Home '. She’s released 11 charting radio singles, 3 CMT videos and has been the recipient of many awards. Along with her husband John Cunningham she looks forward to sharing her music for the Forth time at the Horseshoe Theatre in Mt. Vernon, MO. CopperStar Productions and Vibrillium Records are proud to announce that Eli Barsi is the recipient of the 2006 Will Rogers Award for Western Female Vocalist, presented to her by the Academy of Western Artists [ AWA].
On Tuesday, September 26th, 2006, the AWA Awards were held in Dallas, Texas at the Eisemann Center. This awards show honors artists of all kinds that are directly involved with the cowboy heritage movement. Canadian Cowgirl Eli Barsi was recognized as the Female Vocalist of the Year. She was also the recipient of this award in 2002.
Eli is a true prairie girl that was raised on the southeastern plains of Saskatchewan, Canada. Before relocating to the Branson area of Missouri, she spent several years honing her craft as a singer, songwriter, musician, & yodeler in the province of Alberta near Stony Plain.
